Ex repair without a dossier is not proof

Repairing an Ex motor, enclosure or component is not the same as ordinary technical repair. After repair, it must be demonstrable what was done, which tests were possible and whether the equipment still remains within its Ex certification.

When documentation is missing, only individual parts are repaired or testing is incomplete, uncertainty arises immediately. In that case, the risk is not determined only by the repair quality, but above all by the evidence provided in accordance with IEC 60079-19.

Exquintia assesses whether Ex repairs, markings, reports and verification dossiers are technically and legally defensible.

Not every repaired Ex device may automatically be returned to the hazardous area.

Have your Ex repairs independently assessed before a repaired component becomes an uncontrolled risk.

Next step

Do you want to know whether temporary work, maintenance or modifications affect your ATEX assessment?

Exquintia reviews the EPD, zoning, equipment and work permits as one technical system, so your documentation stands up during inspection, audit or authority review.
